MANHEIM, Pa. – Lock Haven men's wrestling standouts Avery Bassett and Gable Strickland have both earned 2025-26 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Division I Men's Scholar All-American awards.
 
The prestigious distinction recognizes the academic success by individual student-athletes who also excelled on the mats.
 
Both Bassett and Strickland were recently named to the 2025-26 Mid-American Conference (MAC) All-Academic Wrestling Team.
 
The two standouts also represented Lock Haven on the collegiate wrestling's biggest stage as the two competed at the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Wrestling Championship in mid-March in Cleveland.
