Charlie Brenneman - Class of 2004
Charlie Brenneman came to Lock Haven in 1999 as a two-time PIAA state runner-up for Hollidaysburg Area High School. As a Bald Eagle, Brenneman wrestled at 157 pounds and reached the “Round of 12” at the NCAA Championships in 2004. He graduated from The Haven as an Academic All-American with a 3.985 GPA. In 2007, Brenneman became a professional mixed martial arts fighter and competed for several years in the UFC. He is a former Spanish teacher, an author, a podcaster, a public speaker, and a mentor to young athletes in central Pennsylvania. Charlie and wife Amanda have two children, Gracie and Rocky.

Dave Crowell - Class of 1976
Dave Crowell, a standout wrestler at Corry High School, came to Lock Haven in 1971. Wrestling for the Bald Eagles, Crowell was a two-time PSAC medalist and served as team captain his senior year. In 1976, he began his sensational high school coaching career. As head coach at Easton, Crowell led the team to 105 wins. He then led Wilson High School to 170 wins. In 2024, in his 22nd season as head coach at Nazareth, he collected his 600th career coaching victory. Only four other PIAA wrestling coaches have surpassed the 600-win milestone. Crowell is the only coach in PIAA history to win 100 meets, coach a state champion, win a state team title, and be named Coach of the Year at three different schools. He is a member of the PWCA Hall of Fame, as well as the NWHOF. Dave and his wife Jacquelyn have four children, Michelle, Casey, David and Colin.

Scott Goodale - Class of 1995
A three-sport star at Jackson Memorial High School in New Jersey, Scott Goodale came to Lock Haven in 1990 and wrestled for head coach Carl Poff. Goodale was a three-time NCAA D1 qualifier, a two-time EWL runner-up, and ended his collegiate career with 99 wins. He went on to great success as a high school coach at his alma mater, Jackson Memorial, where he compiled a record of 155-16 and was named New Jersey Coach of the Year three times. Goodale moved to the college ranks in 2007. In his seventeen seasons at Rutgers, he has coached two national champions and nineteen All-Americans. As of 2024, Goodale has led the team to 221 dual meet victories, making him the winningest coach in program history. Scott and his wife Lisa, have two children Shelby and Zach.

Chance Marsteller - Class of 2019
A four-time, undefeated PIAA state champion, Chance Marsteller continued his successful mat career at Lock Haven. Marsteller was a two-time NCAA All-American for Coach Scott Moore’s Bald Eagles, placing 4th in 2018 and 3rd in 2019. In June 2023, he earned a spot on Team USA by defeating Olympic gold medalist and World Champion Jordan Burroughs in a best-of-three series at 79kg and competed at the World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. In February 2024, Marsteller added to his international success when he won a gold medal at 86kg at the Pan-American Championships in Acapulco, Mexico. Chance currently resides in Breinigsville, PA with his wife Jenna and two sons Cannon and Easton.

Jim Schuster - Class of 1976
Jim Schuster came to Lock Haven from Pembroke High School in Batavia, New York. In 1973, as a freshman, Schuster placed 5th at Heavyweight and earned All-American honors at the NCAA College Division Championships in Brookings, South Dakota. A four-year starter at Lock Haven for Coach Ken Cox, Schuster was a two-time NCAA D1 qualifier and finished his collegiate career at number one on the all-time list of career falls and number six on the all-time list of career wins behind Jerry Swope, Gray Simons, Fred Powell, Ken Melchior, and Larry Rippey. Following his graduation in 1976, Jim went on to complete his MBA and achieve tremendous professional success, including senior executive positions with numerous multi-billion dollar international corporations including Director of Operations with Westinghouse, Vice President of Operations with Allied Signal Aerospace, Executive Vice President of Magnetek Corporation, President of Magnetek Motors Corporation, President of Raytheon Aircraft Integration Systems, Executive Vice President of Raytheon Corporation, Chairman and CEO of Raytheon Aircraft, and CEO of Hawker Beechcraft Corporation one of the world’s largest producers of military and private aircraft. Since retiring, Jim has remained active serving as a Director on numerous corporate boards across a range of aerospace and commercial companies. Jim and his wife Ann have four sons and currently have residences in Kansas and Florida.

Ed Shifflett - Class of 1996
A native of Lewistown, Dr. Ed Shifflett graduated from Lock Haven in 1996 with a degree in the Health Sciences. He earned his Master’s degree in exercise physiology at Virginia Tech, and completed his Ph.D. in gastrointestinal physiology at North Carolina State University. As co-owner and executive of AlphaGroup Medical Communications, Shifflett developed the business into a multi-million-dollar company helping to grow the company from its inception before selling it to Red Nucleus. Ed currently serves as the EVP of Strategic Account Development at Red Nucleus. He has served on the boards of directors for the LHU Alumni Association and the LHU Foundation and often returns to his alma mater to mentor students and speak with faculty. In his leisure time, Shifflett is devoted to physical fitness and has completed five Ironman triathlons. A former wrestler at Lewistown, he is an avid supporter of the Lock Haven wrestling program. In March 2024, he and his wife, Dr. Gretchen Shifflett, provided a transformative endowment to support the ongoing rise of the program under Coach Scott Moore. Ed resides in Swarthmore with his wife Gretchen and two children, Ella and Gavin.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Lock Haven (50 Spring St., Lock Haven, Pa. 17745) is the official hotel of the 2024 Lock Haven Wrestling Distinguished Alumni, Friends and Supporters Hall of Fame event. Rooms have been blocked under “Wrestling HOF” at a discounted rate of $115 per night. Rooms must be reserved by August 15 to receive the discounted rate.
