Ben Diller was named the Men’s soccer grad assistant in August (2016).
In his first year, Diller helped lead the Bald Eagles to a 5-11-1 overall record and a 3-8 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) record.
Highlighting the season was Troy Amspacher who racked up numerous awards for his tremendous play. Amspacher led the team in goals and points with 14 and 30 respectively. Those numbers also ranked him 4th in the PSAC in both categories. Amspacher earned All-PSAC First team, D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team and NSCAA NCAA Division II Men's All-Atlantic Region Third Team.
Diller comes to LHU after spending the previous two years serving as the Men’s Assistant coach at Weidner University.
While at NCAA Division III Widener, Diller's primary responsibility included training and coaching the goalkeepers, while also playing an important role in recruiting and scouting.
Prior to his time coaching collegiate soccer at Widener, Diller coached the varsity squad at Central Dauphin High School.
He holds his United States Soccer Federation (USSF) D License and a National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) Goalkeeper Level 2 Diploma.
Diller graduated from Alvernia University with a degree in secondary education in 2013. While at Alvernia he was a standout goalkeeper. The three-year starter led Alvernia to three straight winning seasons. Diller was a two-time All-Conference selection and an All-Region selection.
