Kacey Oberlander

On October 16, 2020, the Lock Haven University swimming team announced the addition of Kacey Oberlander to the coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach.
 
Oberlander, a York Pennsylvania native, is a former standout at NCAA Division I Alabama and brings with her an elite swimming background.
 
During her career in Tuscaloosa, she took home multiple College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American honors, earned a number of All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) academic awards and she finished her career ranked among the top-10 all-time for the Crimson Tide in the 200 backstroke. Individually, she qualified for the SEC Championships on multiple occasions and during her prep career, she twice competed at the United States Olympic Trials (2012 and ’16).
 
Oberlander has over 17 years of experience as a swimmer and enjoyed a decorated youth career with the York YMCA. While competing with the York YMCA team, she qualified and competed at the Olympic Trials in 2012, competing as the youngest competitor in an elite field.
 
She’s competed at grand prix meets, junior national championships, multiple United States open national championships as well as in the SEC finals.
 
Recently, she picked up experience coaching age group swimmers as an assistant coach for the Crimson Tide Aquatics program. Oberlander was also the assistant coach at the Out Door Country Club of York in the summer of 2020. She’s been a private swim instructor for the past seven years, where she’s been teaching kids of all ages and skill levels.
