In all, eight LHU fall athletic teams will be in action this weekend. Featured on the docket are two home events, which will both come on Saturday, October 8.

On Saturday, the Lock Haven football team will host No. 16 Shepherd in Pennsylavania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern division action at Hubert Jack Stadium. The LHU women's soccer team will take the turf afterwards for a home nightcap vs. regional rival Mansfield.

The women's field hockey team, tennis team, and volleyball team are all in action today (Oct. 8) on the road. The field hockey team will play again on Sunday, while the tennis and volleyball team are scheduled to play again on Saturday. Men's and women's cross country, and men's soccer are also slated to compete on the road on Saturday.

- Goalkeeper Joaquina Orlandini ranks second in the A-10 in saves-per-game with 6.44. She is ranked third in save percentage (.773) and ranked fifth in goals-against-average (1.84).
- Constanza Lopez Zabala leads LHU with a team-high six goals, tied for fourth-most in the A-10. Her 13 points are tied for sixth most in the league.

Volleyball (2-11 overall, 0-3 PSAC East)
 
- Fri. Oct. 8 at Kutztown (6-9, 1-2 PSAC East) 7 p.m. // PSAC East
- Sat. Oct. 9 at East Stroudsburg (5-8, 2-1 PSAC East) 7 p.m. // PSAC East
-Freshman Regan Happ leads the team in digs at 234, while averaging 5.32 per set, which is good for 5^th in the PSAC.
-Junior Gabriela Fialova currently has 142 kills, which sets her at 6^th in the PSAC, and averages 3.23 per set. She also ranks 13^th in the PSAC in service aces per set with .41.
-Fialova was one of this week's GoLHU.com Athlete's of the Week.
- As a team, Lock Haven currently ranks second in the PSAC in average service aces per set with 2.23.

Men's Cross Country
 
- Sat. Oct. 9, heads to the Bloomsburg Invitational, 10 a.m.
- LHU men ranked No. 9 in this week's Division II Atlantic Region rankings

- West Chester is ranked No. 8 in the Atlantic Region, but sits atop the PSAC East Standings
- LHU is coming off a mid-week win over Shepherd.
-Andrea DiSomma and Sam Hershey stand tied at 18^th nationally in shots per game with 3.86 a-piece.
- Beckham Sibiski's six assists in eight games ranks him eighth in the nation in assists per game at .75.

- Linebacker Shane Scott leads LHU with 46 tackles. At 9.2 tackles per game, he's ranked 4^th in the PSAC.
- Scott was also named GoLHU.com Athlete of the Week following his ten tackle/two sack effort last week.

- Slated to play Virginia State (1-3) and West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday.
- Recorded a historic 5-4 first-win since the program's return on Thursday over Lycoming College.
