James Goins (Marion Heights, Pa./Mount Caramel) of the Lock Haven University football team has been named this week's GoLhu.com Athlete of the Week.

Goins led LHU's defensive effort in last weekend's home opener against Edinboro.

Goins recorded a game-high 11 tackles.  He had 10 solo stops.

His 11 tackles were the most by an LHU player since week five of the 2011 season, when Ryan Good recorded 11 tackles against Clarion.

Goins also had one tackle-for-loss in the game and has 24 total tackles this season.
