BOX SCORE

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (6-4) scored two goals in each half to pull away from visiting Robert Morris (2-7) 4-1 today on Charlotte E. Smith Field.

A huge key for the Lady Eagles was the performance of junior forward Kristi Shepps (Willow Street, Pa./Penn Manor), who recorded the hat trick.

Senior Amy Hordendorf (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights) made her one goal today a very special one. The goal marked the 65th of her remarkable career, which ties her for fifth-most in school history.

Hordendorf is tied at No. 5 with current LHU head coach Pat Rudy.

Lock Haven went up 1-0 in the 32nd minute on Hordendorf's strike. Shepps went on to score three straight to pace LHU.

The Haven is right back at it tomorrow (Sunday, September 25) at 1 p.m. when the Lady Eagles host Sacred Heart.
