LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Dustin Bixler, a 2008 Lock Haven University graduate and the 2004 PSAC Men's Soccer Player of the Year has re-signed with the Harrisburg City Islanders of the USL Pro League.
Bixler joined the City Islanders in 2005 after a standout career with the Haven men's soccer program.
He was a three-time All-Conference player and an All-Region selection. Bixler played in over 70 matches for the Bald Eagles, leading The Haven's defense.
Following the 2004 season, Bixler was named the PSAC Men's Soccer Player of the Year after leading the Bald Eagles to a 15-5-3 record, the PSAC title and a spot in the NCAA Division II Tournament. He scored three goals in 21 games, while leading Bald Eagles from the backline.
This will be Bixler's eighth season with the City Islanders as he's already the club's career leader in minutes played.
