CHEYNEY, PA. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (11-5, 5-3 PSAC) downed Cheyney University (1-13, 0-8 PSAC) in three straight sets tonight, 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, & 25-12).
LHU cruised past Cheyeney in three straight sets tonight, 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, & 25-12) in conference play.
Lauren Dentler (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and
Laura Harris (Galloway, N.J./Absegami) led the Haven tonight with 10 kills, respectively. Harris added 10 digs in the win.
Jessica Brown (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) turned in an all-around effort for the Lady Eagles with another double-double on the year. Brown paced LHU with 32 assists and defensively tallied 16 digs.
Brown served up a game-high seven aces.
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll) and Annie Dombrowksi (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) continued to have a strong freshman campaign. Gomish recorded a .455 hitting-percentage and 10 digs.
Dombrowski defensively added 10 digs.
LHU recorded 11 service aces in the win.
The Lady Eagles are right back in action tomorrow (Oct. 4) at West Chester (1 pm) in conference play.
