The LHU wrestling team is set to host Shippensburg on Friday, November 21 at 7 p.m. in the Bald Eagles 2014-15 home-opener.

Friday is also Lock Haven's Youth Wrestling Night. As part of Youth Wrestling Night, all youth wrestlers 12 years of age and younger will be admitted free of charge. There will also be a free youth clinic at 6 p.m. in Thomas Fieldhouse.

Lock Haven opened the day with a 28-12 loss to No. 21 Ohio, but bounced back for the Bald Eagles' first dual win of the 2014-15 season, downing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, 24-12. LHU closed the day with losses to No. 23 Kent State, 22-18 and host-Eastern Michgian, 25-13.

EWL Wrestlers of the Week:Last Week (Monday, Nov. 10),
Dan Neff and
Fred Garcia of the LHU wrestling team have been named Co-Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) Wrestlers of the Week.

Neff (149) and Garcia (184) both took home individual titles at Saturday's Brockport/Oklahoma Invitational, leading the Bald Eagles to second-place honors. Both went a perfect 4-0 on the way to their titles.

Neff, the top-seed at 149, picked up four wins on the way to the title. He opened the way with two straight majors and beat Army's Andrew Mendel 6-2 in the finals.

Garcia, the top-seed at 184, improved to 5-0 on the season with four wins Saturday. Garcia started the day with a pin and tech fall, before earning a hard-fought, 7-6 victory over the Sooners' Greg Wilson in the title bout.
