BEL AIR, Md. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (4-8, 3-3 PSAC) dropped both games of a doubleheader today to Bloomsburg University (5-3, 4-0 PSAC) at Harford Community College in Bel Air, Md.

LHU fell, 4-3 in game one and the Bald Eagles dropped game two, 13-1.

Today's games were played in Bel Air, Maryland at Harford Community College because of unplayable field conditions in Pennsylvania.

Bloomsburg got off to a quick start in game one. The Huskies scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, highlighted by a bases-clearing double by BU's Tyler Benson.

Haven starter
Madison Neddo (Earlville, Md./Coppin State Univ.) settled in after the first inning. Neddo did not allow a run over the next four innings and finished with four strikeouts in five innings of work.

Despite out-hitting the Huskies, nine hits to three, Lock Haven was unable to overcome BU's four-run first.

The Bald Eagles clawed their way back into it and put the tying run on base in the seventh inning, but were unable to tie the game.

Ryan Henritzy (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) led LHU at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a run scored.

Brett Morrison (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita),
Aaron Cummings (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) and
Ryan Koch (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) all drove in runs for LHU in the loss.

Bloomsburg starting pitcher, Zachary Meyer took a no-hitter into the fifth inning before
Ryan Orgitano (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) broke up the no-no with his first career home run.

Justin Sleigh (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) tallied LHU's only other hit in the game, a fifth inning double.

Sleigh finished the game 1-for-2 at the plate.

Meyer picked up the complete-game win for Bloomsburg.

The Huskies benefitted from 11 walks in the game.

Tomorrow's doubleheader with Bloomsburg at Foundation Field has been postponed because of unplayable field conditions. No makeup date has been announced.

Lock Haven is set to return to action on Friday (March 27) when the Bald Eagles travel to Millersville for a PSAC matchup.
