LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (4-10-0, 3-10-0 PSAC) was knocked off by Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) foe Indiana (Pa.) (10-4-0, 8-4-0 PSAC) by a score of 1-0.
The Bald Eagles played a very even match against a physical Crimson Hawks team, as IUP totaled 11 fouls to LHU's four.
The Crimson Hawks got on the scoreboard in the 34
th minute to give them the 1-0 lead which would hold for the remainder of the game.
Leisha Noble (West Milford, NJ./West Milford) tried to spark the offense as she was all over the field trying to navigate the tough Crimson Hawk defense.
The Haven welcomed back
Marah Foltz (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) who was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division II All-Atlantic Region Team last season as a freshman. She made her first appearance this season after coming back from an injury.
Erika Landis (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) and
Jordan Shoff (York, Pa./York Suburban) led a defense that only allowed three shots on goal the whole match.
The Haven will return to the pitch when they travel to take on Mansfield on Saturday, October 21. The game is scheduled to kick off at 1:30 pm.
