Women’s Basketball downed by #24 Edinboro

The LHU women’s basketball team fell to No. 24 Edinboro, 94-52.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (1-6, 0-4 PSAC) fell to No. 24 Edinboro University (7-0, 4-0 PSAC) 94-52 today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
 
Rileigh Devine (Etters, Pa./Red Land) led LHU with 12 points while Ahnera Parker (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) added 11 points.
 
Maimuna Kenneh (Coatesville, Pa./Collegium Charter) turned in a strong effort for Lock Haven, finishing with six points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
 
Bink Redman (York, Pa./William Penn) chipped in with six points, two assists and a steal.
 
Edinboro shot 47 percent from the field and 48 percent from 3-point range. The Fighting Scots finished with 12 3-pointers, including five from Michelle Jahn, who had 17 points. She was one of four players in double-figures for Edinboro. Jontay Walton led all scorers with 24 points.
 
Next Saturday (Dec. 9), Lock Haven will host Pitt-Johnstown at 1 p.m. in what will be LHU's third straight home game.
