LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Sophomore
Kayla Gee (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) of the Lock Haven University softball team has been named this week's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central Division Pitcher of the Week.
Last week, Gee helped Lock Haven go 6-0 and remain perfect in Central Division play. In the circle, she went 3-0 with three consecutive one-hitters.
Over the three-game span, all wins – and 17 total innings – Gee allowed just three hits and four walks. She struck out 20, recorded an ERA of 0.82 and held the opposition to a 0.056 batting average.
Highlighting the 3-0 week was her 10-strikeout win vs. Clarion and Gee threw back-to-back shutouts vs. Clarion and Pitt-Johnstown to close the weekend.
This marks the second time this season where Gee has been named the PSAC Central Pitcher of the Week. It's also the third straight week a Lock Haven pitcher has taken home the honor and in all, a Bald Eagle pitcher has been named the PSAC Central Pitcher of the week five times this season.
