FULL RESULTS
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Aaron Pfeil (Pittsburgh/South Fayette) turned in an impressive second place finish today and he was one three All-Region performers for the Lock Haven University men's cross country team at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships.
By way of his second-place finish, Pfeil earned a trip to the 2019 NCAA Division II Championships.
Luke Vanderhoff (Hamburg, N.J./Wall Kill Valley) and
John Davern (Manchester, N.J/Manchester) both finished among the top-25, earning All-Region honors.
Pfeil outkicked West Chester's Josh Coakley down the stretch for the second spot. He was second of 132 finishers and covered his home course at LHU in 31:36.2 (10,000-meters).
Vanderhoff was 14
th with a time of 32:15.8 and Davern ran 32:20.8, which put him at 16
th overall.
Brett Pope (Pleasant Gap, Pa./Connections Commonwealth Academy) and
Zack Skrabski (Pittsburgh/South Park) rounded out Lock Haven's top-five performers today.
As a team, Lock Haven finished fourth, one spot out of earning a trip to NCAA's. Charleston won the meet with 66 points, Edinboro was second (87 pts.) and Davis & Elkins (127 pts.) placed third. The top three teams all earned bids to the national championship meet on November 23 in Sacramento, California.
