For the Lock Haven University lacrosse team, the 2019 season is a special season as it marks the 50
th anniversary of the first season of LHU lacrosse back in 1969.
It also marks the 40
th anniversary of the program's only national championship. The team won the 1979 Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women national lacrosse championship.
The team celebrated its first 50 years last night with special awards from current head coach
Lindsay Reese (LHU, '07) and a commemorative video.
