MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (18-24-1, 11-15 PSAC East) fell to No. 6 Millersville (36-11, 22-4 PSAC East) today in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East doubleheader this afternoon on the road. Millersville won the opener, 11-4 and took Game 2, 11-0.
The two teams will play again tomorrow (Saturday, May 4) back in Lock Haven, as they look to cap the four-game set. Tomorrow marks LHU's 2019 Senior Day at Watkins Field.
The host-Marauders entered today's games ranked No. 6 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II poll and they were ranked No. 17 in this week's Collegiate Baseball DII poll.
Millersville won today's opener 11-4 after plating 11 runs on 10 hits.
Jimmy Webb (Montoursville, Pa/Loyalsock) was the Bald Eagles game-one leader. He went 4 for 4 at the plate with a run scored and two RBIs. Webb had a double and a triple.
Lock Haven scored four runs on seven hits.
Millersville capped the Friday sweep with an 11-0 Game-2 victory.
Despite the loss,
Demetrius Haskins (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) was strong at the plate and turned in a two-hit game.

Scott Leitholf (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) struck out seven.

Lock Haven and Millersville will be back in action tomorrow (Saturday, May 4) back in Lock Haven. Game 1 tomorrow is set for a 1 p.m. start. The Bald Eagles will honor their seniors tomorrow, as it marks the final day of the 2019 regular season for LHU. Transportation from main campus to Watkins Field at Stern Athletic Complex will be provided tomorrow. The trolley will run from LHU's Thomas Fieldhouse Circle to Stern Athletic Complex (Baseball's Watkins Field) starting at 12:15 p.m. and loop around from TFH to Stern until Game 2 Saturday is over.
