PHILADELPHIA, Pa. –The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (3-0) defeated Holy Family University (2-3), 67-64, on the road today in non-conference action.

The Haven pulled out another gritty win over the Tigers on Tuesday night on the back of some clutch late shooting and defensive stops. Leading 30-27 at the break, LHU seemed to be in control and led by as many as 14 points in the second half. Holy Family, however, battled all the way back and held a five-point advantage with under five minutes to play.

Over the final 3:47 of the game, all eight of the Bald Eagles points came from the free throw line as The Haven's clutch shooting sealed the 67-64 victory. For the game LHU shot 88.2 percent from the charity stripe compared to 57.1 percent for Holy Family.
Eli Washington (East Petersburg, Pa./Hempfield) contributed the last four points from the line for LHU and was 5-6 from the free throw line on the night.

MarkAnthony Fidelis (Largo, Md./DeMatha) once again led all scorers with 24 points for LHU. Fidelis has eclipsed the 20-point mark in each of the Bald Eagles three games this season and did so on 9-16 shooting and four made three-point field goals.

Jesse McPherson (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) and
DaQuan Granberry (Linwood, Pa./Chichester) each chipped in 11 points for The Haven. McPherson added nine rebounds and a crucial 5-5 from the free throw line.

Adam Freese (Stewartstown, Pa./Kennard-Dale) handed out a game-high five assists for the LHU offense as the Bald Eagles held a 17-13 advantage in assists.
