LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven field hockey team fell on the road to seventh-ranked Saint Joseph's University 13-1 in an Atlantic-10 (A-10) Conference game on Friday afternoon (Oct. 4).
For the Bald Eagles, Farah Van Dijk scored off a rebound on a penalty corner opportunity in the 56
th minute.
In cage,
Kelsey Felix had a standout performance and finished the contest with 19 saves, which is the most for a Bald Eagle keeper since the 2023 season. Felix bested her own season- and career-high of 18 saves from earlier this month against VCU, which was also the most in a season since 2003.
Felix made 11 saves in the first half, before adding nine more in the second half.
Brooke Hofsass added a defensive save.
Bucknell jumped out to a four-goal advantage in the opening quarter, before adding two goals in the third period to put the game out of reach.
Lock Haven fired off five shots on goal, led by a pair off the stick of
Madison Friend.
The Bald Eagles move to 2-10 overall and Bucknell improves to 5-6.
