LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's cross country team hosted the 2024 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championship today (Saturday, Nov. 9) on a picturesque fall day in The Haven.
Jakob Rager led the way for the Bald Eagles as he placed 38
th overall. Lock Haven finished 14
th of 21 in the team standings.
Jan Thewes of Davis & Elkins won the individual race after coving the 10K course in 29:51.0. His victory helped lead D&E to the team title with 40 points as the Senators edged out Shippensburg (2
nd, 45 pts.). Charleston placed third with 81 points.
Rager finished 38
th of 156 in 31:42.6 (10K) for The Haven.
Kristian Mizdail placed 56
th in 32:21.0 and
Gavin Furey rounded out Lock Haven's top-three today with a 76
th place finish in 32:55.2.
Evan Klinger and
Colin Simander finished 105
th (33:32.5) and 109
th (33:38.2), respectively.
