Women’s Cross Country hosts Atlantic Region Championship

Bald Eagles host Division II Atlantic Region Championship Saturday; Sechrist leads the way for Haven women

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – In what proved to be a picturesque fall day in The Haven today (Saturday, Nov. 9), the Lock Haven women's cross country team hosted the 2024 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championship.

Aubrey Sechrist led the way for Lock Haven. She finished 34^th of 160, and covered the 6K course in 22:15.6.

Slippery Rock's Anna Igims dominated the field, running 20:35.4 for the individual victory. Igims victory helped the Rock placed second overall. Davis & Elkins won the women's team title with 93 points, while SRU was second (100 pts.) and East Stroudsburg finished third (114 pts.).

Kaydence Strange finished 43^rd for Lock Haven in 22:23.9, while Nicole Carroll placed 70^th in 22:53.9.

Krista Jones and Jenna Smith rounded out the Bald Eagles' top-five with finishes of 23:47.5 (110^th) and 23:55.1 (113^th), respectively.
