KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Jakob Rager and
Chris Hine both finished among the top 10 today, and in doing so, the Bald Eagle pair led the regionally-ranked Lock Haven men's cross country team to a third-place finish at Kutztown University's Division II/III Challenge.
Rager was seventh out of 118 finishers and covered the 8,000-meter course in 27:01.85. Hine placed ninth in 27:02.87
Ranked No. 6 in the Atlantic Region, Lock Haven finished third in the 12-team field with 86 points. Shippensburg (15 pts.) placed first and host-Kutztown narrowly edged out the Bald Eagles for second with 81 points.
Freshman
Kristian Mizdail was The Haven's third runner as he placed 15
th overall in 27:13.07.
Owen Hibell and
Evan Klinger rounded out Lock Haven's top five with efforts of 28:05.64 (32
nd) and 28:06.20 (33
rd).
