Penn State 15 – Lock Haven 50
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's cross country team opened the 2024 season this evening in traditional fashion as the Bald Eagles hosted Division I Penn State at the Dolan Duals.
Leading the way for Lock Haven was
Jakob Rager who finished 15
th after covering the 6,000-meter course in 18:46.1.
Gavin Furey finished among the top 20 in 19
th place with a time of 19:06.7.
Kristian Mizdail (19:08.8, 21
st),
Chris Hine (19:10.2; 22
nd) and
Colby Petrizzo (19:20.0; 23
rd) rounded out the Bald Eagles' top-five finishers today.
Nicholas Sloff ran 17:55.1 for the individual win which led Penn State to the 15-50 dual victory.
Heading into the 2024 season, The Haven was ranked No. 6 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II Preseason Atlantic Region rankings.
