LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After scoring five goals in a remarkable week, Lock Haven men's soccer midfielder
Kade Black was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday, Oct. 13.
Black's award marks the fourth PSAC West Weekly Honor this season and the second on the offensive side of the ball.
Black scored five goals in total this week, including a four-goal game against Pitt-Johnstown, who entered the game with the best record in the conference. Black tied a 24-year-old record at Lock Haven for the most goals in a game.
The Haven downed the Mountain Cats 7-0 and Black's goals (4) and points (8) are the most in a single game in the PSAC this season.
Black also scored the lone goal in a 1-1 tie against current No. 1 seed Gannon.
During the week, the junior led the conference with 10 points in two games.

The Haven is set for a PSAC West match at home on Friday (Oct. 17) when the Bald Eagles host Seton Hill at 7 p.m. during Lock Haven's 2025 Homecoming Week.
