MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – With her first save of the game, Lock Haven women's soccer goalkeeper
Megan Miller broke the program's all-time career saves record in the Bald Eagles' road Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match at Millersville on Wednesday night (Oct. 22). Millersville outlasted The Haven with a 3-1 decision.
Miller finished with four saves in the contest and now sits on top of the Lock Haven women's soccer record books for career saves with 335.
Miller broke Emily Wagner's previous record of 331, set from 2004-07.
After trailing 2-0 after the first half, the Bald Eagles trimmed the deficit to one on the first career goal by
Leana Cuzzocrea. The senior connected off a successful corner kick opportunity that was set up by
Aleigha Rieppel and
Emily Reeve.
However, Millersville added an insurance goal in the 80
th minute and kept The Haven off the scoreboard the rest of the way to seal the victory.
The Haven finished with 12 shots in the game, led by three on goal from
Angela Kaskabas and two each from
Bryn Constanzer and
Maci Shaffer.
