LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Behind four goals from
Kade Black, the Lock Haven men's soccer team soared to a 7-0 victory over Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division foe University of Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 8) at Hubert Jack Stadium.
Lock Haven's seven goals are the most for the program since netting seven in a win over D'Youville in 2023.
The Bald Eagles, who were ranked No. 10 in this week's NCAA DII Atlantic Region rankings, improve to 6-4-1 overall and 2-1 in the PSAC West. With six points in the conference standings, The Haven is currently at the top of the division.
UPJ falls to 5-2-1 on the season and 1-1-1 in the conference.
Black tied the program-record for single-game goals and is the first Bald Eagle to score four times in a game since Andrew Battersby in 2001.

Noah Brady finished with goals for Lock Haven, while Magallanes,
Ethan Beck,
Carter Rosno,
Billy Lawrence and
Austen Veach recorded assists.
The Haven came out of the gate on fire and scored its first two goals before the nine-minute mark to jump out to an early 2-0 lead.
Black scored both goals in highlight-reel fashion, connecting from a header off a corner kick from Lawrence, before using one touch to beat the diving UPJ keeper off a lead pass from
Carter Rosno.
Black secured a hat-trick in just the 22
nd minute off a beautifully-executed breakaway set up by goalkeeper Beck and Rosno. The assist was also the second of the game for Rosno.
Brady netted The Haven's fifth goal in the 66
th minute, while Magallanes and Marquette rounded out the scoring.
Not only did he join in on the fun on offense with an assist, Beck (73 minutes) combined with
Caleb Anderson (17 minutes) to secure the Bald Eagles' fourth clean sheet of the season.
