LORETTO, Pa. – The Lock Haven Women's Swimming team fell on the road to Division I Saint Francis (Pa.) 203-72 on Friday night (Nov. 7). Two of the Bald Eagles' freshmen picked up victories in the individual events.
Kate MacAlister continues to win events for The Haven by placing first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:16.26. MacAlister's time qualifies her for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship, earning her a trip to the Graham Aquatics Center in York, Pa., on February 18
th.
MacAlister will join fellow PSAC Championship qualifier,
Jadyn Oswalt, who took home the first individual event of the meet, winning the 1,000-yard freestyle by finishing in 11:35.78.
Madison Bortner finished third in the 200-yard butterfly (2:35.25), the 500-yard freestyle (5:53.89) and the 200-yard IM (2:31.86).
Nora Craig placed third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:12.52) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:33.71).
MacAlister also finished third in the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.64).
The Bald Eagles fall to 2-3 on the early season.
