SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's volleyball team fell in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match at Shippensburg 3-1 (25-20, 12-25, 8-25, 20-25) on Friday night.
The Haven's best set came in the opening set, which the Bald Eagles won 25-20, after racking up 14 kills and finishing with a .359 kill percentage.
However, Ship won the ensuing three sets to steal the match.
Maddie Mitchell led the Bald Eagles in kills with 10 and added nine digs on defense.
Olivia Taylor finished with a match-high 24 digs and Natalie Acevedo added 18.
Setter Madelyn Wagner had a team-high 20 assists, which puts her above 500 assists on the season. Gabby Gealey dished out 12 assists as well.
Gealey was also a force at the net, totaling three blocks. Layla Katschilo also added two blocks of her own.
The Lock Haven Bald Eagles move to 8-17 and 4-7 in PSAC East play, while Shippensburg improves to 19-6 and a perfect 11-0 in conference play.
