SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's track & field team competed on the final day of the 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championship in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.
Matthew Muthler was named the PSAC Field Athlete of the Year,
Ryan Miller won the 400-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay squad brought home gold to headline a banner afternoon.

Lock Haven finished fourth, marking the best finish since 2017 and totaled 99 points, the most team points since 2011.

Indoor PSAC Outstanding Field Athlete and All-American Muthler brought home the Outdoor PSAC Outstanding Field Athlete with his performance in the decathlon. Muthler swpet the PSAC Field Athlete of the Year awards for the 2024-25 season. His point total in the decathlon of 7355 set a new PSAC Championship meet record, the PSAC overall record and the Lock Haven program record.

Track Highlights
Leading the way on the track was
Ryan Miller, who capped off his PSAC track and field career by becoming a PSAC Champion in the 400-meter in back-to-back years, this time finishing with an NCAA Division II provisional time of 46.74.

The relay team of
Nick Bellomo,
Matthew Muthler,
Aydan Summers and R. Miller became PSAC Champions in the 4x400-meter relay, earning All-PSAC honors with an NCAA provisional time and the third-best time in Lock Haven program history of 3:12.42.

R. Miller earned another All-PSAC honor in the 200-meter dash, finishing third with a time of 21.19 (21.186).

Josiah Schans secured a third-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.58, putting him in All-PSAC honors and on the podium. Jorge Satnata also secured a podium spot in the hurdles event by finishing seventh with a time of 15.44.

Schans also earned All-PSAC honors in the 400-meter hurdles with a second-place finish and an NCAA provisional time of 52.49.

After qualifying four runners for the 800-meter finals, Lock Haven had four athletes standing on the podium in the event.
Morgan Gavitt finished in second-place, earning himself All-PSAC honors with the new third-best time in program history of 1:52.74. Finishing in fourth was
Anden Atkins, with a time of 1:55.27. In the sixth and seventh spots were
Gavin Furey with a time of 1:57.10 and
Jakob Rager with a time of 1:58.28.

After reaching the finals with yesterday's time of 42.24, the 4x100-meter relay squad of
Jaden Wright,
Michael Lawrence,
Brennan Miller and
Lucca Capparelli finished fourth and secured a podium spot with a time of 42.00.

Rager won his heat with a time of 4:00.25, finishing seventh overall between the two heats, which secured him a podium position.

Field Highlights
In the field,
Peter Bellomo landed on the podium with a provisional throw of 201-0, finishing fifth.
Â
Eric Zalar threw the shot put for a distance of 47-10.5.
Â
Michael Lawrence jumped in the triple jump, reaching a distance of 45-6.5.

Ben Streator and
Matthew Muthler both achieved the same height of 6-2.75 in the individual high jump.
