LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's soccer team continues to roll and soared to a 2-0 victory over previously nationally ranked East Stroudsburg at home on Friday afternoon (Sept. 26).
The victory is the second straight for The Haven, who improves to 4-3-1 overall heading into Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action. East Stroudsburg falls to 3-3-1.
Carter Rosno and
Noah Brady scored, and
Ethan Beck recorded his third shutout of the season to lead the Bald Eagles to victory.
Behind a standout effort from the Lock Haven defense and goalkeeper Beck (three saves), neither team scored in the first half.
Lock Haven broke the scoreless tie in the second half when
Carter Rosno found the back of the net off a throw-in from
Kyle Hoyt. The goal was the first of the season for Rosno.
Brady scored his second goal of the season just moments after, assisted by
Scott Manning and
Billy Lawrence, to extend The Haven lead to 2-0.
Each team attempted 11 shots, with The Haven leading the way with four on goal. Lock Haven also led 6-4 in corner kicks.

Lock Haven will open PSAC West play on Wednesday, Oct. 2 when they head to James Egli Field to take on Slippery Rock.
