LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Keith Warren of the Lock Haven men's basketball team was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
The honor is the fourth PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week for The Haven this season.
The Bald Eagles clinched a 2-0 week with victories over Millersville and Mansfield on Tuesday and improved to 7-9 overall and 3-6 in the PSAC. The Haven is now 6-2 in front of the home crowd.
Defense led Lock Haven to the pair of crucial wins in the Eastern Division and Warren headlined the effort with a team-high seven steals.
Warren had a game-high five steals in Lock Haven's 86-77 win over Millersville, in which the Bald Eagles forced 22 turnovers. Warren also grabbed two late-game steals in a 78-76 win over Mansfield.
On the offensive end, Warren averaged 16 points and knocked down six-of-12 shots from behind the arch.
