LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven women's basketball team made history on Wednesday night by securing its third straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East regular season titles after taking down East Stroudsburg (16-10, 11-9 PSAC), 70-59, in Thomas Fieldhouse.
In their final season before moving to the Western Division (2026-27), the Bald Eagles secured a three-peat of the PSAC East regular season crown after winning their 13
th consecutive game and 15
th in the conference.
The Haven, who is a perfect 13-0 vs. Eastern Division foes, improved to 19-5 overall and 15-3 in the PSAC. During its historic run of three consecutive PSAC East regular season titles, women's basketball has 19, 20 and 29 games (program record in 2024).
Lock Haven has clinched a bye for the opening round of the PSAC Championship Tournament and will host a quarterfinal game in Thomas Fieldhouse on Wednesday, March 4. More details to come after the conclusion of the regular season.
The last team to win the Eastern Division three consecutive regular seasons was Bloomsburg from 2011-15.
The Bald Eagles were led by
Rhlyn Rouse, who poured in a career-high 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting, while grabbing eight rebounds.
Jenadia Jordan added 16 points and went 8-for-10 from the free throw line, proving crucial down the stretch.
Alana Robinson contributed 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists in the victory, while
Madeline Evans snagged a game-high 13 rebounds (seven offensive).
The turning point came in the second quarter when Lock Haven outscored the visitors 17-10, building a 33-24 halftime advantage. The Bald Eagles extended their lead to 30-17 during that frame before East Stroudsburg mounted several rallies.
East Stroudsburg pulled within three points multiple times in the second half, including 43-41 in the third quarter, but Lock Haven put the game away at the line, converting 21-of-28 attempts compared to the Warriors' 13-of-17.
