SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (2-1, 1-1 PSAC) suffered its first loss of the 2011 season tonight as the Bald Eagles fell to host Shippensburg University (2-1, 1-0 PSAC) 3-2.

Just 30 seconds into the match, Kyle Fuerst (Athens, Pa./Dowling College) put LHU up 1-0.

The Red Raiders bounced back and had the contest tied 1-1 at halftime.

Ship jumped all over LHU in the second half and made it 3-1 in the 81st minute.

Just over four minutes after Ship's third goal, Billy Pasukinis (Benton, Pa./Benton) made it 3-2 as The Haven pushed back.

The Bald Eagles continued to press and nearly tied the match as time expired.

LHU goalie Chad Badorf (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) made two saves.

Tomorrow (Saturday, September 17) will feature a pair of nationally ranked teams as the Bald Eagles, who received votes in this week's national poll travel to No. 5 California (Pa.) University for a 6:30 p.m. start.
