Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team got goals from four different players and the Bald Eagles cruised past visiting Shippensburg, 4-1 today in PSAC action.
Lock Haven (4-3-1, 1-1 PSAC) led 1-0 at halftime and got three second half goals to push past the Red Raiders (1-5-2, 0-2-1 PSAC).
Bobby Mohr (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) put LHU up 1-0 in the 30th minute when he scored off a 22-yard free kick that dipped past the goalie at the near post.
Just 1:55 into the second half,
Gregory Bretz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) put The Haven up 2-0 after knocking home an
Asher Klahold (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) corner kick.
Klahold was at it again when he set up
Jacob Oldaker (Elliotsburg, Pa./West Perry). Klahold's pass, split the defense and Oldaker tucked the ball far post to make it 3-0 Haven.
Trent Burris (McAlisterville, Pa./East Juniata) put Lock Haven up 4-0 in the 71st minute.
The Haven got a solid defensive effort from
David Qaisi (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) and LHU goalie
Chris Frederick (Woodsboro, Md./Walkersville), who made three saves.
Shippensburg ended Lock Haven's bid for the shutout in the 82nd minute.
LHU returns to action tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 29) at 4 p.m. when the Bald Eagles host rival California (Pa.).
