Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (6-9, 3-8 PSAC) fell at home in a tough matchup with Edinboro (12-3, 9-2 PSAC) today, 67-57 in a thrilling PSAC matchup at Thomas Fieldhouse.

The two teams battled back-and-forth throughout much of the first half and the half ended with Edinboro holding a 29-26 advantage.

LHU quickly erased that three point deficit just 46 seconds into the second half, when Marrysa Moyer (Altoona, Pa./Mansfield Univ.) drilled a three to even the score at 29-29.

Again the two teams alternated baskets for much of the second half, with neither team able to pull away.  Trailing by five, 53-48, with 4:36 to play, Moyer scored six straight points for LHU and The Haven went on a 6-2 run to cut the Edinboro lead to just one, 55-54 with2:49 remaining.

The Lady Eagles' comeback bid fell just short however, as LHU was unable to regain the lead from EU.

Moyer tallied her second straight double-double, finishing with 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Moyer is the first Lady Eagle to record back-to-back double-doubles since Lysa Mealing last season (2/18/12, 2/22/12).

Emily Daugherty (Laughlintown, Pa./Ligonier Valley) made all the hustle plays tonight.  She scored 12 points and added six rebounds off of the bench.

Kelsey Ryan (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) and Kacie Hershey (Cochranville, Pa./Octorara) played well for LHU down low.  Ryan netted nine points and Hershey netted eight points.  The two forwards grabbed seven rebounds each on the day.

Freshman J.J. Hilliard (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) scored six points to go along with five rebounds and a game-high five assists.

Kiara Brown led Edinboro with 18 points on the day.

Lock Haven returns to action on Wednesday, January 23 at 5:30 p.m. when the Lady Eagles travel to Clarion for a PSAC West matchup.
