Three different Bald Eagles score as Haven beats Gannon, 3-2

Oldaker & Sablyak score second-half goals to push Lock haven to PSAC win

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team got goals from three different players to beat visiting Gannon, 3-2.
 
Lock Haven (3-5, 2-2 PSAC) took a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute of play when Troy Amspacher (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) tucked the ball into an open net off an assist from Tyler Sablyak (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West).
 
The Golden Knights (3-7, 2-4 PSAC) responded in the 37th and 38th minutes with two goals from Nick Stephenson and Robbie Bennett.  Bennett assisted Stephenson's goal.  Gannon held the 2-1 lead at halftime. 
 
LHU took control of the second half with two goals in a matter of minutes to take a 3-2 lead.  Sophomore Jacob Oldaker (Elliottsburg, Pa./Conestoga Valley) drilled a goal after a midfield lob from senior Matthew Coleman (Brownstown, Pa./Conestoga Valley).  Coleman was credited with the assist.
 
In the 63rd minute of play Sablyak received a goal of his own when he headed a ball off a corner kick from Amspacher. 
 
Lock Haven goalie Jonathan Howitt (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning Painted Post East) recorded  four saves in the win.
 
The two second half goals were just enough to ensure the 3-2 win for Lock Haven.
 
Lock Haven returns to action on Tuesday, October 8 at 7 p.m. at home vs. Chestnut Hill.
