Men’s Soccer downed by Cedarville, 2-0

Yellow Jackets score two second-half goals to jolt past LHU in non-conference action

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (2-5) was shutout 2-0 today in non-conference action by visiting Cedarville (5-1-2).
 
After a scoreless first half, the Yellow Jackets scored two second half goals to earn the road-win.
 
Zack Gatlin put Cedarville up 1-0 in the 58th minute and the Yellow Jackets made it 2-0 in the 66th on a goal by Jeremy Hoppe.
 
Lock Haven goalie Jonathan Howitt (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning Painted Post East) made six saves to keep Lock Haven in the game.
 
Matthew Coleman (Brownstown, Pa./Conestoga Valley) turned in a workmanlike effort today for The Haven doing everything he could to spark the Bald Eagles.
 
Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. at home vs. Gannon.
