Five things you need to know:

1. CLEAN SWEEP

On Monday (Jan. 20), the Bald Eagles swept the weekly PSAC East Awards. For the second time in three weeks, junior Wali Hepburn was named the PSAC East Player of the Week and for the first time in his career, rookie Bootsie Walker was named the PSAC East Freshman of the Week.

2. BACK TO .500

The Bald Eagles pair of PSAC East wins last week pushed The Haven back to .500 in Eastern Division play (3-3). Lock Haven is currently in fourth-place in the standings, one spot ahead of Millersville.

3. NESTOR CONTINUES THE TURN AROUND

LHU head coach Mike Nestor is in his third season as the helm of the program. The Bald Eagles won six games last year and already have 10 wins this year. At 10-6, LHU is off to its best start in recent memory. In 2000-01, LHU won 11 games and the Bald Eagles went 12-15 during the 2006-07 season.

4. BALD EAGLES BIG THREE

Lock Haven's success is paved by its big three – Wali Hepburn, Kasheef Festus and Bootsie Walker. Hepburn is the PSAC's second leading scorer with 22 points per game. Festus is knocking down 12.8 points per game and grabbing 7.3 rebounds. Walker is averaging 9.8 points and 5.5 rebounds.

5. BENCH SUPPORT

Lock Haven is also getting solid numbers from the bench. Mid-year transfer Theo West has played in all seven games since joining the Bald Eagles and as his minutes increase, so do his numbers. He's averaging 4.1 points per game and 3.9 rebounds. Julian Bond averages nearly 15 minutes a game and 5.1 points, while Dave Garcia, Elijah Cooper and Brahieme Jackson are producing solid minutes.
