Lock Haven, who entered the game as the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Division could not overcome a strong second half by the fifth seeded Marauders.

Wali Hepburn (Philadelphia/Neumann-Goretti), who led the PSAC in scoring this season at 21.9 points per game, led all scorers today with 23 points and he dished out a career-high 10 assists in the loss.

The Bald Eagles and Marauders played relatively even in the early going, as neither team was able to distance itself from the other.

Lock Haven made the first real run of the game with 7:57 to play in the opening period when Elijah Cooper (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern) drilled a three to put LHU ahead, 25-19.  Just 30 seconds later, Julian Bond (Philadelphia/Plymouth Whitemarsh) hit another three for The Haven to extend the lead to, 28-19.

After a Millersville jumper, Bond connected again from three-land to put LHU ahead, 31-21 with 6:30 to play.

Millersville trimmed the Lock Haven lead to just five, 37-32 with 1:51, but LHU closed the half strong on an 8-1 run to push its lead to, 45-33 at the half.

The Bald Eagles led by 19, their largest lead of the game with 16:18 to play in the second half, but Millersville came storming back.  The Marauders went on a, 16-3 run over the next five minutes to cut LHU's lead to just six, 56-50 with 11:39 to play.

MU continued to chip at the LHU advantage and the Marauders gained the lead, 68-67 with 4:31 to play.  The lead was Millersville's first since the 12:10 mark in the first half.

Lock Haven found itself down, 77-73 with just 45 seconds remaining when freshman Bootsie Walker (Chester, Pa./Chester) drew a foul and made on both free throws to keep The Haven alive.

Up by two, 77-75 the Marauders sealed the win on the next position when Tyree Smith hit a corner three and drew the foul for a four-point play with just 10 seconds to play.

Redshirt freshman Brahieme Jackson (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) was outstanding off the bench today for The Haven.  He netted 10 points and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds for his first career double-double.

Walker finished with 12 points and five rebounds.

Senior Kasheef Festus (Philadelphia/Archbishop Carroll) scored eight points for LHU.

The loss eliminates the Bald Eagles from the PSAC Playoffs, ending what was a magical season for LHU.

Lock Haven, who went winless just two years ago, finished with 17 wins, the most LHU has had in 24 years and marked the first winning season for the Bald Eagles in 21 years.  Today's playoff game was The Haven's first since 2003 and the first home playoff game at Thomas Fieldhouse since 1990.  Hepburn finished the regular season as the PSAC's scoring champion and went over the 1,000 point plateau in just two seasons at LHU.

Millersville will play top-seeded East Stroudsburg in the PSAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday.
