YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Tyler Burger (Shickshinny, Pa./Northwest) and
Henry Colby (Southampton, Pa./William Tennent) turned in outstanding individual efforts today to lead the way for the Lock Haven University men's indoor track & field team at the Youngstown State National Invite.
Burger's outstanding rookie season continued today with a personal-best performance in the heptathlon. He finished third overall with a mark of 4,571 points, which ranks second-best this season in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and pushed him closer to an NCAA provisional qualifying standard.
Colby clocked a huge personal-best at 3,000 meters, finishing ninth out of 35 runners with a PSAC qualifying time of 8:42.85. It's the 22
nd fastest time in school history and has him ranked seventh in the PSAC this season.
Sean Weidner (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) clocked a PSAC qualifying mark in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.80.
Yesterday,
Lamier Dodson (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) recorded a season-best mark in the weight throw with a toss of 49-08.25. He was 10
th out of 26.
The Bald Eagles return to action on Friday and Saturday, February 12-13 at Boston University's St. Valentine Invitational.
