LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – For the first time since a 2015 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) First Round match, the Lock Haven University men's soccer team is set to return to postseason action after accepting an invitation to play in the 2018 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Tournament.

LHU will play Salem University (W.Va.) Saturday (November 17) at 11 a.m. for the ECAC Division II Championship. Saturday's game, which will played in Clarksburg, West Virginia at Robert C. Byrd High School, is set for an 11 a.m. start.

Led by 2018 All-PSAC and All-Region midfielder Beckham Sibiski, Lock Haven finished the regular season at 7-7-3, the Bald Eagles first .500 finish in seven seasons. LHU closed the regular season with a two-game win streak and the Bald Eagles were unbeaten in their final three contests (2-0-1).

Salem holds a 9-7-2 overall record and last played on November 3 vs. Oakland City University. Salem won, 2-1.

Despite what will be a 21-day layoff, the Bald Eagles couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to play in a championship atmosphere Saturday.

"This is huge for the program and the team is ready," said third-year head coach Patrick Long. "Any time you can play for a championship, it's exciting. We are thankful for the opportunity and looking forward to postseason play against a strong opponent."

Lock Haven previously played in the ECAC Tournament in 1991 and 1972.
