LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's track and field team returned to action on Saturday (Jan. 25) by competing in the Gulden Invite hosted by Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Saturday's action took place inside Bucknell's Gerhard Fieldhouse.
PSAC Automatic Qualifiers
Aubrey Sechrist (800 meters),
Nicole Carroll (800 meters) and
Gwen Lloyd (5000 meters) all reached PSAC automatic qualifying marks.
Track Highlights
Sechrist and Carroll both competed in the 800 meters, finishing fifth and ninth,respectively, with times of 2:23.66 and 2:24.39.
Lloyd started her 2025 campaign with a fifth-place finish, running a time of 18:38.85 in the 5000 meters.
Samantha Trench finished 13
th in the 60-meter hurdles, earning her third among Division II athletes, with a time of 9.45.
Elizabeth Shultz's time of 1:02.60 in the 400 meters earned her an 11
th-place finish and a personal best.
The 4x800-meter relay, with a contingent of
Claire Hauser,
Elizabeth Shultz, Sechrist and Carroll, finished impressively in second place with a time of 10:00.01.
Field Event Highlights
Regan Irons and Trench both competed in the high jump, placing seventh and ninth receptively, with marks of 1.54 meters (5-00.0)
Next up for The Haven:
The Bald Eagles will send athletes to a pair of events on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. Lock Haven will compete in a pair of two-day events at the Penn State National (University Park, Pa. and Bison Open/Multi (Lewisburg, Pa.).
