Full Princeton Open Brackets/Results
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Lock Haven women's wrestling team opened the 2025-26 season at the Princeton Open on Sunday, Nov. 2.
Presley McCandlish went a perfect 5-0 and took first place in the 160 lbs. weight class. The Bald Eagles totaled eight place winners on the day.
McCandlish dominated at 160 lbs. by picking up a pin, two tech falls, and two decisions to take home first place.
Raegan Snider earned a second-place finish at 160 lbs. Snider won her first four matches, three of which by pins, before losing to McCandlish in the championship 2-4.
Lindsay Laws also took second place for The Haven. Laws won her first three matches, one via pin, tech-fall, and decision at 207 lbs.
Lock Haven had three wrestlers finish with 4
th-place honors.
Isabella DeVito (131 lbs.) picked up four wins on the day, two coming by pin and two by decision.
Jayleah Pletz (124 lbs.) pinned one, had two tech-falls, and a forfeit victory.
Summer Batts (103 lbs.) had two pins and a decision on her way to claiming fourth.
Charlotte Gilfoil picked up fifth place by pinning two and winning via forfeit after leading 8-1 at 138 lbs.
Emily Murphy rounded out the Bald Eagles' place winners, finishing sixth at 124 lbs. by picking up three tech-falls before bowing out of the tournament.
Some other notables for The Haven were
Journie Rodriguez (117 lbs.), who won four matches from a pin, a tech-fall, a decision and a forfeit after leading 8-2.
Lydia Knarr (131 lbs.) and
Rachel Plata Arce (131 lbs.) both picked up two pins on the day.
Taylor Aiello (145 lbs.) had a pin and a tech-fall.
