Penn State Results | Susquehanna Results
UNIVERSITY PARK/SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's track and field team returned to action on Friday (Feb. 21), and the Bald Eagles sent athletes to the Penn State and Susquehanna Tune-Up.
The Penn State Tune-up took place at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter II Indoor Track, while the SU Tune-Up was held inside the Robert I. Estill Fieldhouse.
PSAC/NCAA Automatic Qualifiers
Reagan Irons (High Jump),
Samantha Trench (60m Hurdles),
Gwen Lloyd (Mile),
Claire Hauser (800m), and
Aubrey Sechrist (800m).
Running Highlights
Samantha Trench earned third place at PSU with a 9.26 in the 60-meter hurdles.
Gwen Lloyd placed 14
th at PSU with a season-best time of 5:16.48 in the Mile.
Elizabeth Shultz placed 10th in the 400-meter race at PSU, going under 60 seconds with a time of 59.99, breaking her personal record.
In the 800m,
Claire Hauser and
Aubrey Sechrist finished second and third at PSU, with times of 2:18.44 (Hauser) and 2:18.94 (Sechrist).
Nicole Carroll,
Natalie Gentzel, Hauser and Shultz's 4x400-meter relay placed fourth with a season-best time of 4:04.21.
Field Event Highlights
Irons hit a mark of 1.65 meters (5-5 feet) in the High Jump at PSU, tying her best and earning seventh as the top Division II athlete.
The trio of
Laurie Thompson,
Alyssa VanGorder and
Mallory Eck all competed in the Weight Throw at the Susquehanna Tune-Up. Thompson placed third with a mark of 13.78 meters (45-4.25 feet), VanGorder placed sixth with a mark of 12.94 meters (42-5.5 feet), and Eck placed seventh with a mark of 12.62 meters (41-5 feet).
Clarissa Davis and Eck were able to go first and sixth in the shot put at Susquehanna in the Shot Put. Davis threw a mark of 11.76 meters (38-7 feet), and Eck threw a mark of 10.33 meters (33-10.75 feet).

Lock Haven will send a limited number of student-athletes to tomorrow's (Saturday, Feb. 22) Marc Deneault Invitational, hosted by Cornell.
Postseason on the Horizon:
The Bald Eagles are set to compete in the 2024-25 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2 at Lehigh University (Bethlehem, Pa.).
