SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's track and field team returned to action for week five of its outdoor season, competing in the Ship Mid-Week Meet hosted by Shippensburg on Wednesday.
The Ship Mid-Week Meet took place at Seth Grove Stadium.
PSAC Qualifying Marks
Kiersten Lloyd (3000m Steeplechase),
Mallory Eck (Discus Throw),
Alyssa VanGorder (Hammer Throw) and
Maria Puglia (Javelin Throw)
Track Highlights
Kiersten Lloyd led the Bald Eagles on the track this afternoon, winning the 3000-meter steeplechase with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) time of 12:00.75.
Elizabeth Shultz also won her event in the 800-meter race, finishing with 2:22.96, and
Madison Bair also raced in the 800-meter with 2:38.35.
Havanna Gordon finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.51, with Kelci Carle also finishing fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:15.09.
Also, in the 200-meter,
Briana Thomas finished at 29.67.
Thomas,
Maja Halasz and
Heather Leskovansky raced in the 100-meter sprint, finishing with times of 13.74, 13.90 and 13.97, respectively.
Halasz also raced in the 400 meters, finishing at 1:08.39.
Bair, Halasz and Gordon were joined by
Claire Hauser in the 4x400-meter relay, finishing third with a time of 4:27.21.
Field Highlights
Maria Puglia led The Haven in the field, winning the javelin throw with a PSAC distance of 129-04.
Mallory Eck competed in three events this afternoon. First, she threw the discus for a PSAC distance of 126-05. In the shot put, she cracked the top 10 with a throw of 35-11.25. The last event she threw was the hammer throw, for a distance of 108-01.
Clarissa Davis also competed in multiple field events today. She finished seventh in the shot put with a distance of 38-02.25 and in the discus throw with a distance of 77-05.
Alyss VanGorder rounds up the Bald Eagles that hit PSAC marks in the field, as she did in the hammer throw with a distance of 148-11, finishing fourth.
Leskovansky also added a pole vault finish to her day as she achieved a height of 8-08.25.

The Bald Eagles will travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 19, to compete in the Bucknell Team Challenge hosted by Bucknell University.
