WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Lock Haven women's track and field team returned to action for week three of its outdoor season, competing in the three-day Colonial Relays hosted by William & Mary from Thursday to Saturday.
The Colonial Relays took place on Cary Field at Walter J. Zable Stadium.
PSAC Qualifying Marks
Nicole Carroll (1500m), Aubrey Sechrist (1500m), Samantha Trench (100mH), Claire Hauser (800m), Regan Irons (High Jump)
Friday Results
Leading the way for The Haven was Nicole Carroll and Aubrey Sechrist, who both posted Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying times of 4:44.07 and 4:44.74 in the 1500-meter run, finishing fifth and ninth, respectively.
Samantha Trench finished ninth in the 100-meter hurdles with a PSAC time of 15.27.
Finishing out the PSAC qualifying marks for Friday was Claire Hauser, finishing with a time of 2:21.37.
A pair of Bald Eagles finished 12th in their field events: Alyssa VanGorder in the hammer throw with a distance of 142-08.50 and Maria Puglia in the javelin throw with a distance of 113-07.75.
Saturday Results
Day three of the Colonial Relays was filled with relay events and the squad of Sechrist, Elizabeth Shultz, Lillian Bradley and Carroll posted the second-best time in Lock Haven program history in the 1600-meter sprint medley with a time of 4:10.60.
Makayla Grace Weber, Natalie Gentzel, Havanna Gordon and Sydney Stahl finished a time of 1:47.05 in the 4x200-meter relay, which is the third-best time in program history.
Finishing with a third-best time in program history, the team of Gwen Lloyd, Kaydence Strange, Sechrist and Carroll set a new mark in the 6000-meter relay with a time of 20:11.68.
In the high jump, Reagan Irons jumped to a PSAC height of 05-03.25, finishing sixth.
Next up for The Haven:
The Bald Eagles will travel to Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, on Thursday and Friday, April 10-11, to compete in the two-day Susquehanna Outdoor Multi hosted by Susquehanna University.
