Women’s Soccer announces recruiting class

The Bald Eagles have announced the addition of 17 student-athletes to the women’s soccer program in 2025.

6/24/2025 2:40:00 PM

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's soccer team and second-year head coach Jesse Urquhart have announced the addition of 17 student-athletes to the program in 2025.

Women's soccer has welcomed 17 athletes to the program from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

The future Bald Eagles have all either signed a National Letter of Intent to compete at The Haven or have been accepted and/or are enrolled at Lock Haven.

"I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with our incoming freshman and transfers," Coach Urquhart said. "We graduated a large class this fall so it was imperative that we brought in an abnormally large recruiting class. Recruiting isn't an exact science but I'm very pleased with the people who have been offered and accepted the opportunity to compete with Lock Haven soccer. We (Megan & I) feel as though we work tirelessly and diligently to identify people who will raise the standards of the women's soccer program on the field, in the classroom, and as members of the Lock Haven community."

"With the work of our returning student-athletes, I would expect our incoming class to acclimate quickly," Urquhart added. "Adding transfers with PSAC experience will only assist in those efforts. As we continue to redefine our definitions of hard work, I look forward to a highly competitive preseason this fall. The young women who represent Lock Haven, current and incoming, know that nothing will be given, only the opportunity to earn minutes with the right preparation, efforts and attitudes."
