MANHEIM, Pa. – Lock Haven Women's Wrestling's
Azariah Moore was ranked 10
th in the National Women's Wrestling Coaches Association Top 10 Coaches Poll in the 180 lbs. division on Thursday (Feb. 12).
Moore holds a 23-5 record on the season, including a near-perfect 19-1 record in duals. Her 16 tech falls on the season puts her tied for the most in the country across all weight classes.
Moore was also ranked second in NCAA Women's Region 2.
Five other Bald Eagles were ranked in the top five in NCAA Women's Region 2 headlined by
Lindsay Laws (207) who was ranked first with a dual record of 10-2 and earned bonus points in 16 of her 17 wins on the season.
Jayleah Pletz was ranked second at 124 lbs. Pletz finished the regular season 13-4 in duals and 21-10 overall.
Presley McCandlish (160) was ranked fourth in the region. McCandlish holds an impressive 11-1 dual record and is tied with Moore for the most wins on the team with 23.
Summer Batts (103) and
Marissa Rumsey (145) were both ranked fifth in their respective weight classes. Batts finished the regular season with 11 wins with nine earning bonus points and Rumsey collected 13 wins with 12 of them coming via pin or tech fall.

The Bald Eagles will start their postseason quest by heading to West Liberty, W.Va., for the Region 2 Championship on Friday (Feb. 20) and Saturday (Feb. 21).
