The Lock Haven women's wrestling team will start its postseason journey by traveling to West Liberty, W.Va., on Friday (Feb. 20) and Saturday (Feb. 21). The Bald Eagles will look to defend their region championship from a season ago.

The tournament field consists of Alvernia, Arcadia, Bethany, Cedar Crest, Delaware Valley, No. 17 East Stroudsburg, Eastern, No. 25 Gannon, No. 7 Lehigh, Lock Haven, Muhlenberg, Penn State Altoona, Pitt-Johnstown, Ursinus, West Liberty and York.
 
Six Bald Eagles are ranked in the top-five in the region tournament field.
 
Lindsay Laws is the favorite in the 207 lbs. weight class. Laws holds a 17-8 overall record with 16 of her 17 wins coming from pin or tech fall.
 
Defending regional champion and All-American No. 10 Azariah Moore (180) is ranked second. Moore claims a 23-5 record with an impressive 17 tech falls on the season.
 
Jayleah Pletz is also defending her Region 2 title and is ranked second in the 124 lbs. weight class. Pletz finished the regular season with a 21-10 record with seven pins and eight tech falls.
 
Presley McCandlish (160) gets fourth-ranked consideration. McCandlish is tied with Moore with most wins on the team with 23 and earned 17 combined pins and tech falls.
 
Summer Batts (103) and Marissa Rumsey (145) are both ranked fifth in their respective weight classes. Batts finished the regular season with 11 wins with nine earning bonus points and Rumsey collected 13 wins with 12 of them coming via pin or tech fall.
 
Last Time Out
The Lock Haven women's wrestling team closed out the regular season with two dual victories over York (42-5) and No. 13 Eastern (25-24) at Thomas Fieldhouse on Sunday (Feb. 8).
 
Lock Haven finished the season with a seven-dual winning streak and a 15-5 overall record.
