RIVERHAWK FRIDAY NIGHT COLLEGE SHOWDOWN
SYKES & SABOCK CHALLENGE
UNIVERSITY PARK/SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's indoor track and field team traveled to Selinsgrove Friday night (Feb. 6) for the Riverhawk Friday Night Showdown and University Park for the Penn State Sykes & Sabock Challenge Saturday (Feb. 7).
Over the busy two-day stretch, the Bald Eagles recorded a number of notable individual marks.
Highlights of the two meets are listed below.
Riverhawk Friday Night Showdown Top-Five Finishes:
Alyssa VanGorder – Weight Throw (45-05), 2nd (Susquehanna)
Kaydence Strange – Mile (5:35.79), 4th (Susquehanna)
Mallory Eck – Shot Put (36-07), 5th (Susquehanna)
Macy Plowman – 200m (27.92), 5th (Susquehanna)
Penn State Sykes & Sabock Challenge Highlights:
Reagan Irons and Samantha Trench each achieved a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship qualifying mark in the high jump (5-02.5)
Elizabeth Shultz achieved a PSAC mark in the 800m (2:18.51) run and finished sixth overall.
Clarissa Davis (39-07.25) was just shy of a PSAC mark in the shot put.
Next up for The Haven:
The Bald Eagles will return to competition on Friday, Feb. 13 and will travel to Youngstown State, Widener and/or Susquehanna.
